Reporting Illegal Content
In effect from 8 July 2026. This page is our notice-and-action mechanism under the EU Digital Services Act, and forms part of our Terms of Service.
In short. If you believe content on Hoodik Cloud is illegal, email us at abuse@hoodik.io with the exact link and an explanation. Because the service is end-to-end encrypted, the only content we can look at is content that has been shared through a public link, so a working public link is essential for us to act.
What we can and cannot see
Hoodik Cloud is end-to-end encrypted. Customers' files are encrypted with keys we do not hold, so we cannot read, browse or scan stored content, and we do not monitor it. The only content anyone outside a customer's Instance can see is content a customer has chosen to publish through a public share link. That is the only content we are able to review and act on directly.
How to submit a report
Send your report to abuse@hoodik.io. So that we can act on it, please include:
- The exact location of the content: the full public link (URL). Without a working link to specific content, we have no way to identify or reach the material.
- Why you believe it is illegal: a clear explanation, and the law you believe it breaches, in enough detail for us to understand the claim.
- Your name and email address: so we can confirm receipt and tell you the outcome. (You do not need to give your name for reports concerning child sexual abuse material.)
- A statement that you are acting in good faith and that the information in your report is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
What happens after you report
- We confirm receipt of your report without undue delay.
- We assess it. If your report identifies specific content through a public link, a member of our team may open that link exactly as any recipient would, to review it. We never attempt to access content that has not been made public. If the report does not identify content we can reach (for example, it points to data that is encrypted and not publicly shared), we cannot evaluate it, and we will tell you so.
- We act at the most precise level available to us. Where content is manifestly illegal, we can revoke the reported public link, disable the specific stored objects behind it, suspend the Instance, or terminate the account. We cannot read, edit or selectively remove files we have no key for, so where finer action is impossible we act at the level the encryption leaves us.
- We report to the authorities where the law requires it. For example, child sexual abuse material or a threat to someone's life or safety is reported to the competent authorities.
- We tell the people involved. We inform you of our decision. We also inform the affected account holder of the action we took, the reasons for it, and how they can challenge it, unless a law or an authority prohibits us from doing so, or doing so would interfere with an investigation.
Timing
We acknowledge reports promptly, usually the same business day, and aim to assess valid reports within two business days. For content that is manifestly illegal and reachable through a public link, in particular child sexual abuse material, we aim to revoke the link within hours.
Misuse of this process
Please report only content you genuinely and reasonably believe to be illegal. Reports that are knowingly false or made in bad faith may be disregarded, and we may decline to act on repeated unfounded reports from the same source.
If you are the account holder and disagree
If we act against your account or your content, we will give you our reasons and explain how to contest the decision, unless the law prevents us. You can reply to our notice, and you may also complain to the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), acting as the Digital Services Coordinator, or bring the matter before a court. Nothing here limits your legal rights.
Orders from authorities
If you are a public authority issuing an order to act against illegal content, or to provide information, please see our Law Enforcement Guidelines, which set out how to reach us and what we can produce.
